Views Gallery

Update: There is a mostly-working D7 version in git, but it's not an official release because I no longer can maintain it. If you need something for D7 and can't use this code I suggest http://drupal.org/project/node_gallery as an alternative.

I am no longer able to maintain this module, if someone else would like to take it over I'd be glad to hand it over.

This module pulls together the techniques Jeff Eaton outlined in http://www.lullabot.com/articles/photo-galleries-views-attach to automatically create a simple gallery where each gallery is a node with an embedded view of images that were assigned to that gallery. The module creates the content types, sets up the imagecache presets, creates the default gallery view that is embedded into the gallery nodes by Views Attach, and adds css to make it all look nice.

This technique also works well to create individual image galleries for Organic Groups, since the gallery and image content types can be configured as group nodes. Views Gallery OG, included in this package, provides a setup page to make it easy to automatically create a gallery for every group and adds group context to the forms wherever possible so the right groups and group galleries are pre-selected when you create gallery images.

This module is mostly a bit of glue around numerous other Drupal modules. It is a perfect example of something the Features module was designed to do, and it is being reworked as a Feature instead of using custom .install code. All new development will be on the Features version. The versions are:

  • The 6.1 branch is the original code, which does not use the Features module.
  • The 6.2 branch is the new code, which requires Features, Strongarm, and CTools.
  • See the README.txt for instructions about how to upgrade from 6.1 to 6.2.

This module is intended to be a lightweight gallery solution with a simple feature set that you can tweak using the CCK and Views UI and some custom css in your theme. If you want a robust gallery with advanced features, this is probably not the right module to use. If you need a quick and simple gallery solution built on modules you are likely to use elsewhere, this may be a good fit.

Scald: Gallery

Scald Gallery is a gallery provider for Scald.

Requires Scald version 1.2 or newer.

There is a bundled scald_galleria module that provides a Galleria player. The latest Galleria library requires jQuery 1.7+. If you use the stock jQuery 1.4, please download an older version, like Galleria 1.2.9.

Storage API

Storage API

Mission Statement

Storage API is a low-level framework for managed file storage and serving. Module and all the core functions will remain agnostic of other modules in order to provide this low-level functionality. Submodules are welcome to allow Storage API to interact with other contributed modules, but there shall never be a dependencies[] statement in the storage.info file unless it is necessary for the low-level function of this module.

It has the following features:

  • Pluggable architecture - it can be extended to work with any storage service.
  • Redundancy - it can be configured to store your files in multiple services and instantaneously change which one is serving. This means your site will not be brought down by a service having problems.
  • Access control API - can be used for e-commerce.
  • Deduplication - when files that are identical are stored in the same container, only one instance will be created. This saves bandwidth and storage.
  • File and image field integration - enable the "core bridge" sub-module.
  • Audit module - compares a manifest of files with what is recorded in the database to ensure that the record is accurate.

There are some screencasts demonstrating various features of the module.

What is Kaltura’s Video Module for Drupal?

A standard Drupal Module that integrates the Kaltura video platform capabilities into Drupal, allowing you to instantly enrich your Drupal site with video, audio, and images. Kaltura’s video platform and video module for Drupal is an enterprise grade solution that offers comprehensive powerful functionality and full control over content ownership, without the need to run your own video operation. The module handles every aspect of rich-media, including uploading and importing content, transcoding, content management, syndication, monetization, distribution, and more.

Flash Node

If you just want to add Flash content to nodes without having to worry about writing any HTML or PHP then this module is for you! Create a flash node, upload an swf file, and hit submit, and you have flash on your site.

For more advanced use you can combine flash node with SWF Tools and flash node will accept flv and mp3 files for easy playback. You can use the flash node input filter to re-use your flash content in other nodes. Or use PHP to construct flashvars strings to let flash elements react to your site.

Now with Views!

After many requests the first releases of flash node with support for Views is available. Views support is available for both flash node 5 and flash node 6. Using the Views capability you can define customised views that include flash content. You can pass parameters to the flash content as you would with a flash node macro, so you can scale the content to a size to suit your needs. Documentation for Views support isn't in place yet, but hopefully it is fairly self explanatory.

Changes to permissions

Hi-Res Images

CSS px are not intended to be mapped 1:1 with screen pixels. They are actually defined as an angular measurement: http://inamidst.com/stuff/notes/csspx

Web browsers running on modern hi-res screens need to be calibrated by "zooming in". This happens automatically with Apple Retina Display. For images to fully utilize hi-res screens, image dimensions need to be twice the CSS dimensions.

Interestingly, the JPEG quality setting of images on hi-res screens can be reduced dramatically without compression artefacts becoming visible, meaning that filesizes are not much larger; it is even possible for the filesize of hi-res images to be smaller: http://blog.netvlies.nl/design-interactie/retina-revolution/

Without Hi-Res

Dimensions: 300x179
JPEG quality: 80%
Filesize: 13.53 kB

With Hi-Res

Dimensions: 600x358
JPEG quality: 30%
Filesize: 17.59 kB

This technique does not use JavaScript.

Unlike Retina Images, this module will work with effects provided by other modules.

Image Browser

Image Browser is a simple, elegant and beautiful image browser for Drupal.

Try out a demo (Version 1 | Version 2) and post any bugs you find. If, after using the demo, you don't think Image Browser has all the features you need then please do check out Image Assist or IMCE.

Media Gallery Extra

Media Gallery Extra Settings

Media Gallery Extra provides additional features and improvements for the Media Gallery module.

File MIME

MIME types

Drupal determines the MIME type of each uploaded file by applying a MIME type mapping to the file name.

RoyalSlider Integration

This module provides integration with the excellent RoyalSlider library.

Google QR Code Generator

This project leverages the Google QR Code Generator from their charts API to display a block containing a QR code for the current URL you are viewing. It is simple, straight forward, and should largely work right out of the box. The Drupal 8 branch is under semi-active development. The D7 isn't so much as it's so simple it just works. If you need further development help with this, feel free to open an issue. If you need your issue resolved promptly, reach out to me as I can probably find a developer for hire to help with your specific issue.

Responsive Slideshow

Responsive Slide-show Module:

When we are trying to create a carousel using Bootstrap theme, mostly the carousel was not showing as the responsive behaviour and also not able to give the bootstrap classes to the carousel view. I have created this module by solving the above mentioned issues.

This module uses the Bootstrap theme engine and can be used to create responsive slide-show while using Bootstrap theme/subtheme.

FlashVideo

FlashVideo is a complete turn-key video solution that expands Drupal's upload capabilities to allow web developers and users to upload video files, automatically convert those videos to the popular Flash format, and then embed their video in any node type using the simple [video] tag. This module allows more than one video to be attached to any node, and then referenced through the use of parameters passed to the tag [video]. It also includes an automatic conversion of video files to the Flash format using FFMPEG technology.

Media Entity Browser

This module provides an Entity Browser for Media Entity, inspired by File Entity Browser.

Media: ShareStream

Media: ShareStream adds ShareStream as a supported media provider.

Pinterest Hover button

A simple module to allow the Pinterest On Hover Pin It button to be added for images on the site.

The hover button can be enabled per content type (7.x). You can also exclude images with jQuery selectors (7.x, 8.x). 8.x includes special support for hover buttons on responsive images.

Media: BlipTV

Media: BlipTV

Bulk File Nodes

Bulk File Nodes allows a user to upload or import many files at once, and have many individual nodes created, one for each file . Where this module significantly differentiates from other modules like Bulk Media Upload is that after uploading/importing the file(s), the user is given the opportunity to edit all of the fields for each node in a single form.

Scald Vimeo

INTRODUCTION

Scald Vimeo is a video provider for the Scald module.
It can handle URLs and video IDs, and pulls meta data directly from Vimeo.

INSTALLATION

Scald Vimeo depends on Scald. For specific installation instructions
related to Scald, check out its documentation at:
http://drupal.org/node/1652740

Resumable Download

Drupal does not support download resume , meaning that downloading large private files can be troublesome because if for any reason the download fails , there is no way to continue downloading from where it stopped and the whole file should be downloaded again.

NOTICE : This module does not need any patch to work

Views Foundation

views foundation drupal 7 module

Views foundation help you convert any view into Zurb Foudation features (orbit slider, tabs, accordion, etc.).

Imagecache Proportions

This module provides a CCK formatter for imagefields that allows the user to select between three different imagecache presets depending on the proportions of the original image. So you can use this module for altering the display proportions of a image field or similar in the display field screen, in Views, etc.
If the image is more or less squared (you can set a looseness in pixels) you will be able to select a squared preset, if the image is wider than higher, you can select a more "horizontal" preset and if it's higher than wider, a more "vertical" one.
It's integrated out of the box with thickbox, colorbox, shadowbox and lightbox2 for displaying full links.

Drupal 6.x

Requirements:

Configuration:

  • Create presets for the wider image, the higher and the squared one.
  • Edit the field settings for your image field, select which imagecache preset you would like to use for each proportion and the looseness for the squard ones.

Drupal 7.x
