I recently installed the Progress module to manage CiviCRM cron jobs. I used Progress 'out of the box', with no changes.

Since having installed this module about five days ago, I found two instances of the following error in the log file:

Type php
Date Friday, August 30, 2013 - 18:27
User Anonymous (not verified)
Location http://my_site/bgp-start/uc%253Aprogress_cron/8e558eddf5000b708774ba2aa0a9a222
Referrer http://my_site
Message PDOException: SQLSTATE[40001]: Serialization failure: 1213 Deadlock found when trying to get lock; try restarting transaction: DELETE FROM {progress} WHERE (end_stamp > :db_condition_placeholder_0) AND (end_stamp < :db_condition_placeholder_1) ; Array ( [:db_condition_placeholder_0] => 0 [:db_condition_placeholder_1] => 1377815221 ) in progress_cron() (line 230 of /home/my_site/public_html/sites/all/modules/progress/progress.module).
Severity error

I listed this as a bug report because (honestly), I don't know enough about Drupal/CiviCRM to have intentionally done something to cause this. Of course, it is also possible that I simply have a configuration error.

Please advise. Thx.

You may be suffering from gap locks. I'm sure I have any plans to fix this in the module itself. However, you might be able to get around it by settings your database isolation level to READ-COMMITTED.
