Hi there,

The lightbox2 loads and you can see the pictures an pass them by clicking on the arrows but slideshow doesn't work.

I've checked the html and I can see the rel="lightbox[gallery]", I believe that for the slideshow to work it should be lightshow instead as I understand.

The captions aren't showing either and neither are the links "Download Original" & "View Image Details".

Am I doing something wrong? Maybe not choosing the right settings?

Any idea?

Yes, I did place rel lightbox there. It can replaced with lightshow for slideshow feature as well.

Fixed, tested and uploaded into CVS.

yes, indeed, I found out that these links must be generated by gallery module also. This is what I decided:
- View Image Details will not be placed there.
- Download image is considerable, yet not sure if needed... but i placed a link there and it is available whenever user has lightbox2 "download original image" permission. ;)

I think View Image Details link should be there because it gives you the option to comment individually on pictures instead of the whole gallery. Doesn't it make sense? (specially until #386954: Comments not working is sorted).

Do you mean it should be already there? I tried with 2 different roles (both with download permissions) and it isn't showing.

no, I mean I did a quick thought about downloading original.. but then just made it work (bad part is - I forgot to upload it into cvs, so it is not available for download yet). It will be there tomorrow.

About "View Image Details", I always thought lightbox is for nice fancy looking at pictures, not commenting :). Anyway - I can place that link there, no problem!

btw: #386954: Comments not working is blocking issue not solvation, because comments do not work (yet).

I think it's good you place both of them because you can control whether you want them to show or not through the lightbox2 settings anyway.

Well done :-) the link "View Image Details" is there now.

It's opening the image node but it also shows the carousel on top of the picture.

This happens always that I open an image node not only when I go through the lightbox.

Is that the expected behaviour? or should it open the plain image node only?

The Download Original link isn't showing though (I don't personally want it but I think it should be there as users can delete it from the lightbox settings).

Altering image node is expected behavior, indeed. As a matter of fact, modified are only and only the images that are in gallery. Why? - because that`s where these images come from - they are uploaded into gallery and then are created as nodes. This is also good, because for example "last comments" block is linked to image node and then I guess user would want to navigate within the rest of the gallery also.

This hasn't been done on drupal-5 version and was considered as bad, so I altered them in drupal-6 version.

About "Download Original" link. Please, check if the user you are trying to access this link with, has "download original image" permission on user permissions "lightbox2" section. Also I`d suggest to re-download module today, because yesterday I made some changes and system generates new download`able archives at night (~ +2GMT if i`ve noticed correctly).

To be honest, even though I understand your point, I think it shouldn't work like that, you should live the image node as original.

At most you can add a link that takes you back to its gallery or something like that. But messing with the image node you are complicating things.

Or at add a setting where one can voluntarily disable this behaviour.

Or both, and in the setting give us the 3 options;

- Leave node image as original
- Add a link in image node to its own gallery
- Load gallery carousel with image node too (as it is now)

Please considered it as a task request (should I post this as a task request instead?)

Yes, I know I can do it.

The point I'm trying to make is that I'd like to have the image node as original, without the gallery messing with it.

Gallery node is one thing, Image node is another one, why do you want to mix them?

You have to understand that many people will want the gallery as you've build it but not interested in the image node being modified especially when using lightbox for viewing.

Because I use lightbox (the option you offer) having the image node with the gallery view does not make any sense (when using lightbox).

The only change I think it'd be useful in the image node could be a link that takes me back to its gallery.

Why don't you try using it with lightbox and see if you can see what I do, maybe them you may understand my point?
