Include tabs within inbox

Guys I'm disabling the tabs-wrapper for the whole site, and I wanna know if there is any way (without using jQuery to include the links) to include those links within the inbox. I have read in several thread (#348907: Per thread/Multiple thread actions, #363807: Properly Theme privatemsg_list_messages() Output, #1720718: Change how default tabs / menus work, #1443172: View own messages in 'user/%/messages, #377248: Theme privatemsg a la Gmail, add classes, etc, #655250: Vertical Tabs, #735094: Make "inbox" and "sent" menu items optional in the filter Module, #771136: How to embed privatemsg in tpl, #348907: Per thread/Multiple thread actions) but I'm still not sure because many are old and Privatmsg module have changed a lot, if there is a simple way to modify the tpl of the inbox. I checked the folder but I couldn't find anything to modify to put those buttons inside the inbox (for example at the top of the filters). Can you please help?
