Tokens do not work for alt and title tags for images

When I set a token for alt or title tag whether at the node level or content type level, the token is not honored and just renders as [node:title] for example. If I use a single image upload from Drupal core, then tokens work fine for alt and title tags so I am pretty sure this is an issue with this module.
