The ability to check pingbacks at given intervals would make this an even better link exchange tool :)

That sounds like a complicated matter... you have to read the HTML of the destination site and parse it and search for your link?! Plus, we don't really know for sure when posting the first time. And if the comments are moderated on a site, you won't know whether it's going to be published or not anyway...

And you may want to check whether the link is a dofollow or not as you're at it... 8-}

It would take a curl and a preg_match.

A pingback in my mind is a relationship :) I like them to be mutual :D

Maybe you could submit a patch? Or maybe that could be a separate module pingback_check. All that module needs to have is access to the existing database to know the destination URLs.

Hey Alexis,

It was kind of while ago I needed this functionality since then I have taken a different path.

Will set this to postponed perhaps someone is motivated to pick it up. :)
