If a user belongs to a role, which does have the "bypass content access" control permission, it is still restricted from accessing the related nodes. This behavior has been seen, after the permission have been set. The permissions have not been rebuild.

I am facing this issue with user 1. For user 1 all permission-checks should be bypassed, right? On my site user 1 can see ptb-access-restricted-nodes in views. But user 1 cannot view these nodes.

Thanks. Has been released in 8.x-1.53. See https://www.drupal.org/project/permissions_by_term/releases/8.x-1.53. I have attached a Kernel Base Test to the fix.
