The module works well, it would be cool to be able to increase the amount of pages the original pdf can be than 15... Also a nice feature would be to be able to select which field the converted text is placed into.

Other than that, it's a much needed module! Good job.

For each file being uploaded, the number of characters in the body field of the node increases, as the body size too is bounded.. we have limited number of pdf files that can be uploaded , furthermore all of them will be appended !

Also, after adding , the contents needs to be added to the database, so that keeps it's own upper bounds on this ! (though that can be changed )

thanks for the reply. I would like to use it to post pdf's that may have many more pages, perhaps 80 or more. Usually no pictures, just text.

So, I guess the actually limit is of server memory and db size limitations?

Yes only limitation is db size, you can customize it through _pdf2text_file_limits() in pdf2text.module and db size in configuration file. Let me know how it work for you.

In addition, you may also like to change your mysql settings (increase max size allowed ) and server time-out settings (in case slow computers this is necessary ).
