Would be really great if Password Strength minimally maintained it's D6 version until D8 is released.

coltraneHi @mgifford, do you have a proposal for supporting a 6.x version?
If you're referencing the prior Password Strength project then note that it was marked obsolete quite awhile ago https://www.drupal.org/node/178881/revisions/1736256/view and thus there's little reason to support.
If you're referring to new password strength (with zxcvbn-php), scor worked a bit on porting to 6.x but it's not something I plan to support so don't see any further work happening on 6.x version. I'll leave this open for his comment or for additional co-maintainer requests.

mgiffordI don't have a proposal for supporting the released D6 version. Just noticed that it was now no longer supported on one of our sites.
I wouldn't suggest that anyone do anything other than maintain their D6's sites for security issues at this point. It's normal for developers to want to focus on D7 or even D8 for their efforts.
However, D6 is still the largest install base for this module https://www.drupal.org/project/usage/password_strength

gregglesOK then. I think the status quo for D6 should be maintained - i.e. that it is not maintained.
