Hi,
I have a paragraph assigned to a landing page and looks like the referenced node (within paragraph) is always in default view mode even when set to a different one.

This can be caused not by the issue with the module but issue with Layout Builder and the block with webform which is preventing from saving the layout. Will test this and will update the issue.

Hi, thank you for reporting the issue.
Could you provide more details, how to reproduce it (you can provide screenshots)?
Did you set a proper view mode in a field formatter (for entity reference field), on a particular paragraph type manage display form?
Paragraph view mode module is only altering the view mode for the paragraph itself, nothing more or less, so how the fields are displayed only depends on how did you configured that view mode (fields formatters).
