Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Rumors abound that Google + will be live for businesses in early 2012 and of course is already live for individual users. I was wondering if there were plans to add support for what we can assume will be a major social media player this year?

bstrange CreditAttribution: bstrange commentedJust to see if I could last night, I modified the on_the_web.module file to include Google + the results can be seen at http://homepcpatrol.com and it works quite well. I got the vector files for the Google + icons from PixelPinch (http://pixelpinch.com/2011/11/new-red-google-plus-or-page-vector-icon-pa...) after I saw an announcement for them on one of Google +'s promotional blogs and reworked them to match your image layouts.
I attached the images and modified .module for your review, and hope you don't mind my unofficial alteration. (If you do, just delete this post and the attached files)
I am still tryin to work out a slight, easily 'ignorable' conflict with this module and aquia based themes, but for larity sake and to make it easier for others having similar issues, I will post that as a new issue.
Thanks very much for the great module!

jenlamptonNew services will get added to both the D6 ad D7 releases, bumping this up to D7 for my reference.
It looks like we may also have a problem with the google+ icon (similar to the request for pintarest: #1540080: Add support for Pinterest) since the icon set we are using has an icon for google , but not google plus.
How would people feel if the google plus icon we used was this one:
http://quickskitch.org/i/google-20121126-120622.png
Another alternative would be to use a different icon set, one that included google plus and pintarest, perhaps this one:

But that's not even the most recent google plus icon, so let me know what you guys think.

juliangb CreditAttribution: juliangb commentedThe icon for just Google seems fine.
Will be great when we can add Google+ with this module!

jenlamptonI'll add the google icon as a temporary - as soon as someone wants to make us some new ones (or find us some) we can swap out google for google plus :)

jenlamptonOkay, the change to the module is really simple, so it's safe to add this patch (and the attached images) to the 1.2 version of the module if you'd like. But this change has been committed to -dev and will be included in the next release.
Also added to 6.x branch
