Release notes

Initial working version of an 8x Omega port. This port goes back to the thoughts that layout and configuration should be able to be completely controlled via the theme settings interface for the target audience of this theme, which are and have always been those that want to do some clicky and have their theme layout simply WORK. Includes SCSS regeneration of layout variables and CSS. More updates will follow as some of the basic usability functionality are in place and some items in configuration are currently not tied into their intended final functionality are finished.

For me, this is a rewrite of Omega with the functionality approach of 3.x and all the glorious configuration options that made that version so popular. Hopefully we can then bring the great parts of 4.x as well into the fold of this version/release prior to Drupal 8 being in a release candidate stage.

Currently the version here is the start of the BASE theme portion, and some functionality that is working as expected here aren't yet factored for subtheme creation. This initial dev release is meant as more of a test of the base features and direction of the theme configuration system and options. Once subtheming is ready to be tested, there will be an additional folder along side the omega_core folder in the root. There is a chance as well that the core of Omega itself will simply be a subtheme builder and directly download/enable newly generated subthemes based on configuration options.

The selected release is the release that will be used for automated testing. Optional projects are only used for testing.
