I'm not sure how this works...but I can't get any answer anywhere about this, so will try here?
When I move the layout builders sliders, they move, then the css files show as saved, but unlike D7 Omega 3 that works on the front end when you do that.
In D8 Omega 5 nothing happens, I MUST be missing something?

himerus CreditAttribution: himerus as a volunteer commentedFrom your screenshots, it looks like the setting under Default Options for Compile SCSS Directly is disabled.
In that success message, you should see both the SCSS and CSS files saved unless this setting is disabled, then only the SCSS is compiled, relying on you to use Compass or another method to compile CSS.

Bruno Vincent CreditAttribution: Bruno Vincent commentedHi Himerus, thank you for the help, and I REALLY hope I can get this working...
I have cleared the cache, dozens of times! Now there is an error on status report:
Your sites/d8omega.dd/settings.php file must define the $config_directories variable as an array containing the names of directories in which configuration files can be found. It must contain a sync key.

himerus CreditAttribution: himerus as a volunteer commentedOkay, the error you are getting is from outside of Omega. See this post: [#2785725].
Otherwise, I think you should be okay with Omega now. I don't see the attachment that I saw from my email showing the .css files were written, but I know I saw it!

Bruno Vincent CreditAttribution: Bruno Vincent commentedOk, not working on simplytest.me either, I'm attaching the files, you can see that I changed the layout with layout builder, then saved, it says all ok, but still not working.
Can you login there and see if you can make it work? I MUST be doing something wrong?
