How about breaking all zone into 3 regions? I believe this would be more versatile.

I think this simplify template generation because all one has to do is specify n rows X 3 regions.

p/s - for those whom are not familiar with this theme: Omega can have dynamic region, when it's empty, the adjacent region can expand to fill up the empty region.

I see what the advantage for template generation would be. I suppose one could say the current standard layout serves as a showcase for less experienced users, which I think is a good thing.
