if I deactivate the breadcrumbs at
admin/appearance/settings/MYSUBTHEME

JSCSJSCS CreditAttribution: JSCSJSCS commentedI just did a test on my site and disabled the breadcrumbs as you did. They disappeared as expected. I re-enabled them and they came back as expected. Maybe you need to clear your browser cache? I did not have to clear the Drupal cache for the breadcrumbs to disappear.

Peter MajmeskuOK, I've fixed it. The webserver was misconfigured. Maybe the owner of the files was wrong. I dunno what it is exactly, because I'm not the admin of the misconfigured server.
