Is there anyway that og admins could upload their own style for their groups, like the User Profile Theme module allows for user profiles at http://drupal.org/project/user_profile_theme?

try to use http://drupal.org/project/domain
Domain Theme * -- Allows separate themes, theme settings and colors for each subdomain.
each group may be a subdomain
