Yeah, "discontinued". Please don't ask stupid questions.

I don't understand why this question is stupid. Can you elaborate?

If Octopus pulls in other distros it should pull in the latest secure version, right?

Overall your tone in this issue feels rude. I hope that wasn't your intention.

This user has a long history of asking stupid questions, for years. He was also banned from IRC for being rude and offensive. Yes, it was my intention to say what I said. He is using BOA for years and the question on when new Drupal core is included in default platforms has been answered a million times already. He is wasting our precious time too often and his questions will be *ignored* from now on and issues closed.

To answer your question - no, Octopus [stable release] doesn't pull latest Drupal core [automatically]. It never did. This release policy is well known, and it is the same since 2009.

I hope this helps.

Unreal. I have only asked questions I thought were reasonable... In fact there are many commits throughout the drupal community from thread's which I've created. I have hardly used irc for many years ... Let alone offended anyone on irc which i can recall. maybe you are confused/have me mixed up with someone else. In fact... I am very greatful for your hard work.

Not only that.. But I've spent 1000s of hours on each of your latest releases providing feedback which I thought was helpful. Honestly you have even somewhat hurt my feelings..

Had I ever received the funding I was looking forward to a day I could try to pay you for your hard work and such.

I happen to have aspergers autism so I'm not so good with the social etiquette and such but I try my best.

@AntiNSA - no, I haven't confused you with anyone. You were reported as troll both on IRC and g.d.o in the past and you tend to ask questions like "do you plan to go private with BOA like Mercury/Pantheon" or "do you still support upgrades" etc. while we do, for years and we are well known as 100% open source strong believers. Again, it is your confirmed behaviour, not a single incident.

Bug reports are always welcome, but stupid questions like those, not. Just avoid them.

~Robert

[EDIT] Sorry to hear that. You never mentioned you have any serious health problems when encountered with awful situations in the community I can recall. But I still believe, knowing your other reports, that you are fully capable of understanding what are you doing wrong to avoid this.

You keep talking about this. I cant remember why and indeed I cant remember that incident happening. Like I said, I hardly use IRC and the last time I faintly remember was when trying to find a good hosting solution... trying to decide between pantheon and nginx which at the time I had and perhaps still after all these years have little information about compared to others.

and you tend to ask questions like "do you plan to go private with BOA like Mercury/Pantheon" or "do you still support upgrades" etc.

You know I was spending hundreds of hours and looking to learn the right solution for a long term project. Those questions seem legit to me.

while we do, for years and we are well known as 100% open source strong believers.

You know, I am sorry and dont want you to be offend you. You work is great and perhaps you are elite. But you come across as having a real elitest attitude. I am an end user of source trying my best to use open source materials and your beliefs are not well known to me.

Again, it is your confirmed behaviour, not a single incident.

You know its real easy to view my profile and look up all the posts I have posted on drupal. I am sorry if I dont understand how saying something like solr has stopped working for the last couple of dev releases yet works on stable is bad behavior.

Bug reports are always welcome, but stupid questions like those, not. Just avoid them.

Sorry if my stupid questions are below your high intelligence level. I do know that in all these years I have used your great project I have never seen a security release be not released with a stable version of octopus for such a long time...like right now thats why I asked the question. I didnt think it was STUPID.

[EDIT] Sorry to hear that. You never mentioned you have any serious health problems when encountered with awful situations in the community I can recall. But I still believe, knowing your other reports, that you are fully capable of understanding what are you doing wrong to avoid this.

It seems as though you are mocking me. All this degrading and personal attacks because I asked about your long term support plans for pressflow. You know I am haooy with drupal 6 as there are many modules I need which are not available on drupal 7. I know that as drupal rolls towards drupal 8 I am always worried that drupal 6 is going to be abandoned. Is that such a stupid question to you?

Do you know whenever I see a commit on github attributed to an issue or bug report how happy I am to have been part of the open source experiance?

Do you realiize how degrading and astonishingly rude you are being to one of your greatest fans? Do you see any others with such a large amount of posts in the support forum?

You think I like posting reports and error logs for fun or actually because I found some issues?

If you have questions related to Drupal 6 long term support, you may want to read about it here:

https://drupal.org/node/2135189
http://www.ostraining.com/blog/drupal/new-drupal-release-cycle/

Latest Drupal 6 core release is not critical enough to warrant out-of-schedule BOA release, because it is limited to OpenID module, which is far from being commonly used. There is a custom platform feature for this, if you can't wait for next BOA stable, which is released only when there are enough new features or bug fixes accumulated. A few months between releases is normal for such giant project like BOA and it is nothing new.

Lastly, it is not enough to demand being treated politely despite constant bad behaviour. You normally need to change your behaviour first, to expect this. But now, once I know it may not be very easy for you, we will try to be more patient.

Please also note that there was nothing personal in my response. It wasn't my intention to offend you as a person. Please accept my apologies if you feel offended personally.
