Problem/Motivation

When I configure the UI to match the requirements, the JSON API cannot read / access content anymore.

The bigger picture / steps:

Steps to reproduce

  1. Use JSON API via API role to read / write to Drupal - all is working
  2. Install Node View Permissions
  3. Configure the API role to allow view access to any page
  4. Use JSON API again - login works, but now, I get an empty array
  5. Uninstall New View Permissions
  6. Use JSON API again - everything is working fine

Am I doing anything wrong?
I'd like to make sure, that the nodes can only be seen by the assigned user (and admin as well as API user).
