I can't reproduce this. Can you provide steps and/or check again on a clean Drupal + Node Embed install?

I am also facing same issue as on #1
Explanation: In our project we override the output of article by custom tpl and instead render full content ($content) displaying safe_value of a field.
Node-embed not rendering safe_value only value and summary see attached screenshot.
