Please see readme.txt for how to resolve that issue. it can be ignored if you plan on only using MOOC by itself but it's intended for use in a network of distributions. Also please use the latest code from the repo.

Hi,

I must say we've had a similar experience. We've tried several different installs. We've used the latest .dev version. And we get the error pages on all pages we visit so the README seems a bit off, i.e., the suggestion that we disable all pages where the error message appears. More important would be a way to disable the part of CIS that calls for this registry. We actually have no need for it on a cross site basis.

So the fact is we haven't been able to test out this install. It looks like it has great promise, and we really appreciate and admire all the effort that went into it -- and some of it would be HIGHLY useful to us, but we can't seem to get passed the bugs on just getting it installed.

We'll keep an eye peeled to any fixes.

Thanks,

g

This message can be disabled by turning off the cis_service_connection module. This is what's claiming to not have a registry for the webservices to all work together.

This project seeks to be able to run as a stand alone so if UX improves by killing this off in the base package and then I include it in ELMSLN proper that's fine, just let me know.

Theres an issue on d.o. where it's not referencing beta 8 which shouldn't have this issue in the same way. CIS Connector (the module that presents this message) should only be showing it when a call is attempted to the webservice. If you aren't using the pages this comes up on then just ignore the message and hide those pages from users (it's only 4 pages).
