The recur and expire setting are very closely linked and are a bit confusing. I don't think there is a setting to expire on a specific date - only for recurring. Correct? Expire on specific date would be helpful.

I would like to expire on Dec 15 and July 15. I don't want recurring because people are in and out all the time. I have fall and spring sessions with specific open and close dates so x number of months doesn't really fit. Also it would be cool to use the same membership for both sessions, hence the idea of multiple specific expiration dates.

Beginning dates? Aug 15 to Dec 15...

Ok so there is some confusion arising from the fact that, under period settings, for fixed date, it says, "when the plan should recur." I think it should be, "or expire." So that's part of my problem. I wonder if recur settinfs and ecpiration setting should be split up for clarity.

The second issue is a feature request. Use case, I run special access deals in Dec, Apr and Aug. No matter if someone signs up on the first, fifth or twentieth, I want them to expire on the first of the next month. Fixed date does the expiration on Jan 1, May 1 or Sep 1, but I would need to setup three different membership plans and swap them out. How about having one plan with three exipiration dates and I can just disable the one.

Not super pressing I know, but sometimes things are easier to the creater of a system than the seem to everyone else.
