I am glad I found this module because I would just die if I had to use commerce on this smaller project I'm working on.
I would like to see an option for the membership to expire after a fixed length of time, such as 30, 60 or 90 days. I think this would have many applications. In my case, I have a limited amount of time I want to grant membership after enrollment. It's not a recurring billing situation.
I will take a look at code in case I can figure something out.

When you create a membership plan you can set a period for the membership, it can be either days, months or yearly.

I don't want it to recur. Just expire. Maybe I am unclear. If I leave the "Recurring Subscription?" unchecked, it will just expire. If so, that's great! But it's not exactly clear the way everything is worded. It's also based on date not number of days.

Clivem CreditAttribution: Clivem commentedWhen you create a membership plan, in the Period settings you have the Expiration Settings. Within these setting you can select which period the membership is for: Days, Weeks, Months, Yearly. In the Unit drop down box. The top Drop Down box you select the length of membership. For example to set the membership to 1 month,
Set the top drop down box (Length) to 1 and the bottom drop down box (Unit) to Months.
You do not have to select Fixed Date or Recurring for the above options. Hope this helps
