User registration spam not being stopped by Mollom [#1266788]

I am having a major problem with user account spam. Mollom doesn't seem to be validating when users update their account profiles. This mainly happens in a single profile field and seems to be scripted by the shear number of accounts being created and spammed. Are others having trouble with this also?

Yes having the same problem and there are a few issues about it:

It seems spam bots are good at bypassing CAPTCHAs now, and Mollom doesn't seem to be able to do much about it.

Would be interested in hearing thoughts from others on alternative solutions. A maths question? A philosophical question? A fake field hidden with CSS. What can't a computer crack these days?

Sorry, that's completely irrelevant for this issue here. The OP talks about spammers who 1) register on a site as non-spammer, 2) update the user profile *later* to inject spam.

If you think that spammers were able to work around Mollom's CAPTCHAs, please contact Mollom support. Ideally provide them some session IDs of spam posts that have not been blocked.
