This module is now in beta testing phase.
This was updated on March 27, 2008.

Media Manager is designed for easily managing the incoming media from a variety of sources. It provides for media simply as files, or, by using the media_nodes module, allows media to have the full benefits of nodes. Media can be attached to nodes, providing the ability for playlists or slideshows, and display of images, audio and video within a node.

There are quite a few features planned to be added, however, the first deployable version will be rather limited.

Requires Media API.

There will be more upcoming documentation on how to use this module. For the moment please note the various details below.

* Contributed Modules

  • mmedia_attach - which attaches media to nodes, which provides a way for nodes to have their own playlists.
  • mmedia_nodes - which provides a simple access to making media into nodes.

There are plenty of features that I wish to add to this module, including drag-and-drop capability for the attachment list, a javascript file manager, ability to add media from ftp uploading directories, views-similar galleries, RSS feeds, and blocks containing media.

If you wish to contribute more ideas, or whole modules to this project, please contact me through my contact form. Also note, that the more people that contribute to this module, the quicker it will become something of great use to everybody.
