Drupal 9 release

Problem/Motivation

Currently this module only has a D7-compatible release. Since the rest of the Message stack can be used with Drupal 9, it would be great to be able to use the options provided by this module in D9 also.

Proposed resolution

Port this module to Drupal 9 (and ideally make sure it will work with Drupal 10 also).
