I've installed the module and configured it, but I'm not seeing the "How often would you like to receive email notifications?" question anywhere on the user profile pages.

I've got:

Message 7.x-1.12
Message Digest 7.x-1.0+1-dev
Message notify 7.x-2.5
Message notify example 7.x-2.5
Message subscribe 7.x-1.0-rc2+19-devPermissions
Message subscribe UI 7.x-1.0-rc2+19-dev
Message subscribe email (frequency) 7.x-1.0-rc2+19-dev

I did accidentally have both Digest options selected as default on the config page (admin/config/system/message-subscribe) but I've fixed that now - I disabled and re-enabled the Digest and Subscribe Email Frequency modules and cleared cache after deselecting them.

Do you have any suggestions for things I can check or try to get the "How often?" question to show up on my user profile pages?

Sorry - this was user error.

I got confused by the number of Message-related modules, and I thought "Message subscribe email" was "Message subscribe email frequency." Now that I've ALSO installed Message subscribe email Frequency, I am seeing the question on the user profile.

Sorry for the erroneous report.
