Hi there!
Thanks for creating this module! I´ve never used mercadopago, and I´ve a very specific use case, maybe you an help me out telling me just if its possible with your module:

The anonymous user clicks the payment option and pays $1000 in 4 monthly payments of 250 each.

More information: This is an online course 4 month course. Students pay 250 per month (up until now using Bank account transfers, Bank deposit and good 'ol cash.
I would like to know if I could make them pay the whole course in advance, but cashing only 250 per month.

Maybe using recurring payments instead? May I use that option with this module?
Can I create a 4 month only recurring payment?

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP, BUT SPECIALLY FOR CREATING THIS MODULE!!

Hi,
At the moment, I haven't integrated this module with recurring payments. I think, it has to be implemented in separated module (or submodule) because, in order to be coherent with the logic of DrupalCommerce, require to be integrated with Commerce subscription products. I will be looking forward to integrated in a couple of months.

About your particular use case, you can actually solve it using Commerce SP PayPal and of course Commerce subscription products. I haven't check with details, both I think you can create a recurrent payment with time limit, or else, your can create a rules that cancel recurrent payments after certain number of payments have been made.

Another possible solution, is using MercadoPago payment module and configuring your MercadoPago account to accept payments in 3, 6 or 12 fixed payments per month.

I hope it helps
Jesus

Hi Jesús,

Im working on a project with recurring payments with mercado pago. As i understand the ideal of recurrent payments is the integration with commerce_licese.

for now i have added some options on rule action to active recurring payments. Through Paid In full method commerce_license activates the license of the order.

now im working on implementing future payments ipn and actualization of user's licence. Just whanted to know if you have some guidance on this matter, maybe contact you.. so you can see my code and guide me on the steps to follow when developing a drupal module and maybe give it a try to upload it.

thx!

Hi facuchaer,

I agree, the best option is integrate the module with commerce_license, more precisely I think it has to be integrated with commerce_license_billing.

Of course, you can contact me. If you already have some code, it would be nice to added to this module (as a submodule), you can posted here (as a patch file) and we can work together to integrate this new feature to Mercado Pago Payment.

I think, that in order to be able to process the incoming IPN notifications, it will be necessary to make some changes to the current IPN listener functionality. At the moment, it only adds a new payment amount to the associated order.

Regards,
Jesús

Ok this is what i've done.

how it works? a bit different of what you are specting i guess...

what i've done is modify your form, so if commercer_license is enabled, it adds more options to work with.

also when your are about to check out, ask if the order has a recurring line item. if it does, then does a preapproval preference, and then when it's paid, also verifies if the topic is "preapproval" then asks for the payment, and process it creating a new transaction.

my idea then is to listen for "authorized_payment" and auto renew (search for a "recurring open " order, if ther's one then creates a new transaction for ir and exectures the paid in full so the license can be renewed and add another recurring open.

if it's paused then pause the license, cancel cancel's it... and so.

this way i don't know how can i integrate it with commerce_license_billing. since it uses "card token" to generate another payment.. (not a auto recurring one as ML have).

i've never created a drupal module before as you can se, any help, recomedation or "convenion" im missing please let me know, will be much appreciated! thx for your time Jesús!.

Hi Facuchaer,

I have been very busy lately, so I could not find the time to think deeply on this. I see what are you trying to do in your code, but as you say, I think it is not the right way to do it. In general, if I understand the Drupal philosophy correctly, we must try to integrate our solution with other general solutions; this in oder to be a more general solution and to enhance other projects.

I dedicate some time trying to understand commerce_license_billing, but I was not able to make it work in one of my test installations. I think may be I have a pretty old installation. I wil try again soon with a new installation.

But I write you because today, I found a module that implements recurring payments with PayPal, the module is integrated with Commerce subscription products which I missed to consider in the first place. The module's name is Commerce SP PayPal

We can try to translate its implementation to MercadoPago. What do you think?

And thanks to you for your time.
