Hi

I got this bug:
after editing a menu item link page and saving:

1) the menu item is not connected to any parent, and his descendant nodes also lost their menu. (they are only connect to the root)
2) we expect to return to the menu list page, but instead we return to a broken link (server_name/admin/structure/menu/manage/m) it is a partial link.

Bit late but can confirm this appears to be affecting my site as well. I initially suspected hs_menu (submodule of hierarchical_select) but I also use this module. Will continue to investigate.
