If a 2nd or deeper level of menu item is selected as menu parent when adding a node, the last selected level is forgotten when the node submission raises a validation error. eg: home/child/subchild resets to home/child

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Add new node
  2. "forget" to enter/select a mandatory field
  3. select a deeper level menuparent using the menu performance interface
  4. try to save the node

Yes, that appears to be because I didn't do the dynamic altering of the form using proper AHAH (https://www.drupal.org/node/331941). Fixing this would require a fairly comprehensive rewrite, which I have no time for, unfortunately.
