Problem/Motivation

A logo has been created by the community for your module for compatibility with Project Browser.
(Requirements-Create a logo that is 512x512 square dimension in PNG format without animations. Suggested file size should be 10k or less.)

MAINTAINERS:
Please consider adding this logo. The logo will be displayed in the Project Browser (as well as on drupalcode.org as your project avatar, and on drupal.org on your project page).

Proposed resolution

See attached file for the logo to be used. The logo should be this exact image as we have already ensured it meets requirements for file type, size, etc.

Remaining tasks

INSTRUCTIONS: The logo should be added to the root folder of the repo, and be named logo.png. This must be present on your project’s default branch.

If you would like to test the proposed logo in Project Browser before committing the file to the actual git repository, you can install the Project Browser to a local drupal site, then use your browser tools or web developer tools to inspect the logo element and edit the src to specify a new url. For example, on the drupal.org issue the url would be something like https://www.drupal.org/files/issues/2024-mm-dd/the-logo-file.png

If you have previously added a logo as the first image in the Images field on your project page, please remove it. Project Browser will no longer be using the first image as the logo.

Note: For logos created in a vector format we will follow up to provide the logo in svg format where possible

Thanks @leslieg! Would you care to share a bit more about the creation of the logo? Is it your work or someone else's?

Visually it took me a minute to get the "breadcrumb" angle, but I think it's better than no logo so I'm inclined to merge as-is to support the Project Browser initiative, if someone wants to improve on it in future, that's very welcome too!

LeslieG, still interested in your answer on the logo proposed.

Here's the one you proposed:

When I looked at this issue, I found a logo I'd made (Feb 11 2023?!), which I'd totally forgotten making, and had been waiting in a local git repo on my laptop! Attaching here. "It's OK" but not great.

But I didn't notice that until I'd made a second attempt at it, which is this one. This time I had in mind the Classic MacOS menu.

Here's how those three logos look in the Project Browser. (mockup only)

OK, I think I will go with the classic MacOS looking logo, mostly for whimsical "let's pick one for now" reasons.

Having seen how it renders in the Project Browser, I feel like this latest idea is not great either, but a logo is better than none. I will adjust so that it shows a little colour against a likely default white admin theme background.

The first logo posted to this thread didn't really make sense to me - visually I get "breadcrumbs above the menu", which feels sort of backwards, but also "breadcrumb" for me is a computing term which is not communicated well by a picture of the item, especially in icon / vector style (is it gold? rocks? crumbs? etc).

EDIT: Oh, and the folder shape is a menu. I get it now. But it's too literal for me; when we talk about 'menu' and 'breadcrumb' in the context of computing, I don't think we visualise literal, real-world restaurant menus or crumbs of bread, so I don't find that visual representation communicates the intended meaning.

Thanks for the contribution - appreciated, and crediting for the work.
