Active-trail

My menu:

About

- Staff
- Contact us for a consultation (is a link to Contact page)
Contact

I click on Home and it's class is set to .active. I click on About and it's class is set to .active. Great no problems and everything is A-ok.

My problem:
When I go deeper into About section to the Services page, I get this:

Home
About.active-trail
- Services.active
- Staff
- Contact us for a consultation
Contact
--

The trick is when I click on "Contact us for a consultation I get this:

Home
About
- Services
- Staff
- Contact us for a consultation.active-trail
Contact.active
--

Which make it impossible for me to style only the Contact page link so it displays a current state. Please can somebody give me direction to the matter ?
