Hi,
Great module btw!
Is there a way of allowing a user (i.e. me) to choose what the output of the menu is? At the moment, it gives you a list, which is great, but it would be even better if you could choose 'select list' instead, and it outputs a select list. I am aware of the quick menu module which does this, but menu block gives you much more freedom as to choosing a parent, set maximum depth etc...
This would be very useful when making responsive sites. I could make 2 identical menu blocks, one normal list, one select list, hide the normal one on mobile and display the select list instead. Just an idea. Thanks.
Sam.

MrPaulDriver CreditAttribution: MrPaulDriver commentedThis is a great idea, especially for a 'mobile first' responsive design.
Ideally such a feature would incorporate a javascipt 'on-select' action, which would remove the necessity for a submit button.

doublejosh CreditAttribution: doublejosh commentedI was planning to borrow the admin UI from block menu for my Better Jump Menus module.
Perhaps I could just set them up to integrate, adding a checkbox to Menu Block altered block edit pages to offer rendering as a jump menu?

MrPaulDriver CreditAttribution: MrPaulDriver commentedWhat is needed urgently is a jump menu for mobile which is represented by a graphic such as the bars style icon seen on the facebook and gmail.

rafenden CreditAttribution: rafenden commentedI've created sandbox module that render menu as select list: https://www.drupal.org/sandbox/rafal.enden/2008288
Maybe we can merge that work into menu block module?

Dave ReidI think this would be better as a separate project. Please promote your sandbox to a full project if you have permissions!
