Still working on the jquery issue with Chrome. I changed the jquery update module to the 7.x-3.0-alpha3 version which supports the jquery migrate functionality.
I am able to run 1.9+ versions of jquery now on the page, but still cannot complete the upload. I did notice this new message associated with media recorder: "VM2117:1 Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token" see attached screenshot.
Not sure if it is relevant. Still suspect the problem I am experiencing is tied to something else.
