The module works well in Firefox and Chrome (including on my phone). But when I opened a page with Safaria or Android browser, the field showed upload file instead of audio recorder. Was I missing something?

You aren't missing anything AFAIK, it's intentional. Mobile browsers don't support HTML5 getUserMedia or Flash, so I present a file upload instead of the recorder. Users can click the upload button and then use the mobile devices builtin recorder.
