Not fully compatible with display_suite : pager disappears

I'm not sure yet just whose task this is, but there is some mis-match between media_gallery and display_suite.

Previously:
A media gallery node/page could be viewed using default/full view mode.
n images would show, and a small pager [ 1 , 2, 3 ] would appear to provide access too the n+x images.

Added "Display Suite" and switching the "display" to "one column" (Needed to position an extra field a bit differently)
= Gallery image thumbnails displayed as before, pager was no longer rendered on full page view.

I could not find a 'gallery pager' item in the fields to be positioned in "Manage display", there is just "Gallery media" displaying as thumbnails.

I'm not (yet) clear just where media_gallery is placing the pager and why it gets lost.

Suggestion: the pager could be exposed as a pseudo-field and can be positioned via field management (Best for the future), OR it gets glued to the bottom of the thumbnails (to just work).
