theme_media_gallery_meta misses the node, badly

I wanted to add a "By: author" to the theme and

    $node = node_load(substr($link_path, 5));
    $meta .= '<span class="media-author">By: ' . check_plain($node->name) . '</span>';

I needed to did this. FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU.
