So, to install the patch to Drupal-7.0 now these patches: http://drupal.org/node/1038030 # comment-3992792 and http://drupal.org/node/1001624 # comment-3841424
Then you need to install all the dependencies with stable versions - no dev!
After that installs Media Gallery 1.0 beta3 (with beta4 result is not obvious)
If after installation no errors -> set just over the Media Gallery dev-version (I used the version from April 25).
Everything! Should work ....
PS add pictures produce a "Add media" on the page to create albums. Direct address this link - http://name_site/media/browser?render=media-popup

Your mentioned patches seems to be applied in D7. To use media_gallery, you can now use the latest release and the latest release of media_gallery dependencies. You do not need any dev version or complicated installations with the current version. Therefore i think we can close this issue. If you don't think so, feel free to reopen with more information.
