Release notes
This is a large update to the module that includes a number of fixes, new features, and performance/scalability enhancements.
Notable changes:
- Assets are imported using their original name instead of their asset ID
- More metadata can be synced from Acquia DAM
- Multiple bundles will be migrated to use the same asset ID field
- New usage reporting module
New features:
- Authentication: User OAuth sessions will be automatically refreshed, bypassing the original one hour timeout
- Reporting: A new module for reporting asset usage is available
- Support: Documentation has been updated
- Support: Drupal 8.5 and Lightning functionality has been tested
- Sync: Drupal DAM administrators can enforce an image size limit on the imported images
- Sync: The original asset filename is used when importing assets
- Sync: XMP metadata has been exposed for syncing between Acquia DAM and Drupal
Fixes:
- Issue #2939864: Assets deleted from DAM cause errors on asset sync
- Issue #2953779: File extension limits are ignored
- Issue #2953779: Respect file field configuration for media types settings
- Entity browser: Folder thumbnails can be wider than the folder icon
- Entity browser: Folder thumbnails do not generate for all depths
- Sync: Asset files are re-downloaded even if there are no changes
- Sync: Assets are not reused when already present in Drupal
- Sync: Automatically expire assets in Drupal when they have expired in Acquia DAM
- Sync: Enhance cron sync job management for increased scalability
- Sync: Uploading new versions of assets within Acquia DAM will refresh thumbnails within Drupal on the next sync.
- UI: Allow user to authenticate with DAM when DAM Entity Browser is run from within Panels IPE
- UI: Only one field for asset IDs across bundles is allowed
Known issues:
- Issue #2961032: Duplicate asset names with multiple versions can lead to the wrong file being referenced
