Anyone have a solution for automatically detecting YouTube videos that have been deleted or taken down? This would be useful for keeping the media library and site looking clean.

Peace,
Michael

Yeah, that would be cool, is it possible?

I think this is better handled in a uniform method in the Media internet sources submodule. Maybe a limited number of file entities' remote headers could be checked each cron run. If the providers need to define custom implementations of a validation method, we can open issues back in Media: Youtube and Vimeo.
