Hi,
great module! Thank you.

I would like to aks: is it possible, the you can build the list of recipients by role and other moduls. In detail: I use "domain access" module to create a multisite portal.
I created a lot of roles there and use normally views to "limit" users per role for a specific domain.
I also installed mass contact yesterday - and it works really fine. But in the moment, mails are sent to the full list of users assigned to a role. And I have to limit those "recipients per role" also by the domain, the sender is member of (can only be one).
So, in the moment it would mean to duplicate all roles with the count of domains (40!!!) which would make my live veeery hard.

Is there an other way to combine role and domain?

Kind regards

Kai

Thanks to ygerasimov, the 7.x-1.x version of Mass Contact now utilizes the Chaos tools suite (ctools) plugin system. I will reexamine this and realted issues with that plugin system in mind to determine whether to create a plugin for this request or not.

Any updates on this? I would be very interested, too, in sending mass mails to a role within a domain.

This is not a use case that I have a need for right now, so it is not high on my lst to complete. If you want it, look into what it would take to create a plugin to have that functionality included, create a patch, and attach it to this issue.

That being said, I am currently (as in it is my current task to complete for this module, not as in I'm doing it at this very minute) going through the plugins that are in Mass Contact and refactoring them, because I found several inconsistancies and errors that I want to clean up and fix.

Also, as I do not use the Domain Access module, this will be lower on my list to integrate than, for example, a plugin that used arbitrary fields.

As an alternative, if you wanted this feature and were willing to pay me for my time to get it done, it would be more likely to happen.

I just posted the following in another issue that seems relevant here.

As my current task is cleaning up another patch I previously accepted, I'm going to be much more critical of future patches.
