Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
For modules such as clientside validation, they target the HTML tag required, so if a required field in the subscription block is set to required="required" (such as like the webform module does), then clientside validation works well.
Without it it doesn't work at all with these clientside modules.
I have searched but not seen any relevant posts, if there is a patch someone has looked at for this, I could also review that.
Thanks,
Vince

If you're still interested in this feature, please feel free to reopen for the 7.x-4.x branch.
