I may just be missing something, but there appears to be no way to select these kinds of addresses...
Three Military "States":
AA, which stands for Armed Forces (the) Americas
AE, which stands for Armed Forces Europe
AP, which stands for Armed Forces Pacific
Two "City" equivalents:
APO, which stands for Army Post Office
FPO, which stands for Fleet Post Office

ankur CreditAttribution: ankur commentedNot sure how to deal with this one. Also, it may be that sometimes people want to include these as options along with the U.S. states and sometimes they want to exclude them.
I'm am, however, going to close this for now due to a lack of continued interest. If it comes up again, please feel free to re-open or reference if you are trying to make a case for this.

sbandyopadhyay CreditAttribution: sbandyopadhyay commentedAs noted on Wikipedia, the three military 'states' that Ctrl Z linked to above in 2009 are indeed correct, official, and part of the United States Postal Service (USPS). If you drop a letter in the mailbox to one of those three states (AA, AE, and AP), it will be fully serviced by the USPS -- no need to pay a penny extra, even! This is also officially documented at the USPS website, in case the Wikipedia link above is unconvincing.
Some of our sites' users are troops stationed overseas, and their address requires support for AA, AE, and AP.
I'm attaching a patch for this, and hoping it gets fixed quickly!
@YesCT, these should be included in the location.us.inc file, as they are officially part of the United States. They are not a different country.
@ankur, there is no reason that someone would not want to include these three options. They are legitimate mailing options, and well documented above. To the extent that the Location module is used for collecting mailing addresses, to not include AA/AE/AP is like not including California or Florida. Moreover, since the location module uses an autocomplete textfield (as opposed to a select field), people who aren't looking for one of these three options won't ever know it is enabled -- so no worries!
Please let me know if I can further make the case for why this should be included in the location.us.inc file. Thanks!
