Hello,

On the project page it says:
"At present, it is the only module that provides the views integration necessary for implementing location-based searches..."

Geofield 7.x-2.x has Views integration with filtering by proximity to a location.
And so does http://drupal.org/project/geolocation_proximity
And https://drupal.org/project/getlocations seems to have it too.

+1 on this.

When I was a Drupal newbie I made the mistake of installing far too many modules to accomplish simple mapping solutions, largely because of out-of-date information like this. Reading the project page for this module implies that it's required in order for views results to be mapped, which is simply not true today. The project page should be updated accordingly.

@jessehs: I was unable to find a duplicate. Can you link this issue to it?

* I would also humbly ask the maintainer to include references to the other projects noted by @jessehs, or to a "features comparison" if one exists. Each project has its own merits.
