Problem/Motivation

We had a meeting in DrupalDevDays with Gabor and Neil about porting the localize platform to D9.
As part of this meeting we decided to create a separate issue to handle the future D9 platform code.

Remaining tasks

  • Create a D9 platform
  • Embed l10n_server module with composer.
  • Comment dependency on the l10n_pconfig module to remove the blocking issue on our migration path (for now).
  • Share it with the volunteers
  • Ultimately, ask for maintainership rights if needed at some point.

The port of the module is being worked on at Drupal Developer Days Ghent right now, so not yet.

@nicoloye can't push to 3273538-create-a-new.
So attached is a patch with the additions from sanduhrs/drupal-l10n-project.

Especially the setup inlcudes
* the latest 3.0.x branch from drupal/l10n_server.
* an initial port of drupal/bluecheese
* the latest 1.0.x branch from drupal/drupalorg_crosssite
* and both drupal/og and drupal/group for evaluation

If you follow the setup instructions in the README currently looking like:

I updated the config export and a few of the modules, please git pull, composer install and drush cim - or reinstall.

This error message in the status report won't go away after drush updb or drush entup (with devel_entity_updates), even though it looks like it should be fixed by #3298788: Group 2.0 upgrade path?. Also, when creating a node, I get errors like "Table 'db.group_relationship_field_data' doesn't exist"...

@FMB may I suggest you do a fresh install - or does this involve a lot of additional work for you?
I'm currently reinstalling in a regular basis, to be sure the setup gets us all the same and I do not see entity mismatches (obviously).

In the current state, I would not rely on updates to be functional.
Especially groups was an update from -alpha to -beta.
