Linking a node or field to existing content would be a very handy feature to have. For the end user this could work in a similar manner to creating a static link. The user would select some text then click on the taglist button. The chosen taglist item would then use the selected text to fill in the "override" attribute when it's inserted.

If no text is selected, override either isn't used or is set as per the admin setting.

Would be nice to have. I think this should be handled by the editor's javascript respectively by the WYSIWYG plugin/BUEditor since they have different classes for editor instances and selected texts. Furthermore the taglist module should provide an option to allow a user defined override value in the taglist. So the required steps are:

  • add an option to taglist wizard, option override, for "user defined value" - of course override has to have a default value nonetheless
  • add javascript that includes the selected text into the override portion of the tag
