Problem/Motivation

On the Link checker configuration page at: /admin/config/content/linkchecker

I have set the option to IGNORE UNpublished content …

link-checker-configured-to-ignore-unpublished

I have (several times) reset everything using …

link-checker-configuration-reset-all

Recanning and adjusting statuse appears to be working …

link-checker-rescanning-confirmation

No matter what I try, entries such as this one are showing up at: admin/reports/linkchecker …

link-checker-always-including-urls-in-unpublished-content

I am very certain that that particular entity shown ('bit combinations' a node in fact) is NOT published.

We have 200+ UNpublished nodes with what we already know contain broken references to external URL content so we really don't want anything UNpublished to paly any part in the analysis.

Have I misunderstood?

This seems to me to be such a basic bug that I cannot help think I've got something wrong, can anyone please advise on this — calling on the module's maintainers for help here!

I have the same issue, but furthermore, nothing I change in the General Settings section appears to have any bearing on the link extraction status at all.

I am currently seeing this in the 2.1.0 version of the module, I found that this patch https://www.drupal.org/project/linkchecker/issues/3525930 seems to resolve the scanning of unpublished items.
