I have installed and enabled the limesurvey_sync module into my Drupal7 site. I already have the LimeServer software installed on a different server, so I didn't want to move it. I am having difficulty getting the configuration set up. I have changed the settings.php file, and the database connection test is successful. However, I am unable to change the LimeSurvey path. I enter the correct value in the field provided and save, but the test still continues to check the wrong value (see attached screen shot).

I'm sure I can't be the only one who has the software installed somewhere beside the webserver, so I was surprised a search didn't turn up anything.

Any help with this issue would be much appreciated

Okay, this appears to be a browser-specific problem. I was having trouble on Google Chrome, but Firefox was fine.

Hello goldmaj,

The module works, even if the LimeSurvey software is hosted on different server than the drupal one.
The url path on test #2 should be your LimeSurvey url site. As an example, for my demo site, it is : http://drupal-limesurvey-synchronization.com/limesurvey --> click on this link : you will reach my LimeSurvey site.
The module seems to work for me : I have try the following urls on my browser and there is no LimeSurvey site on them :

Maybe your limeSurvey site is on a local server, that would explain why I can't reach it.
If you can succesfully reach your LimeSurvey site clicking on the provided link on test #2, the module should works (creating surveys and responses), even if the test shows "fail".
Here is some explanations Here and Here.

Try this :

  1. just reach your LimeSurvey site on a browser,
  2. and paste the correponding url from your browser
  3. go to your Drupal site, on the synchronization page, copy it into the LimeSurvey path input on test#2 and save
  4. click on the provided url on test #2 :
  5. if you can reach the LimeSurvey site, the module will work even if the test shows "fail".

tell me if it solves your issue.

Hello.
I'm having problems with limesurvey synchronization with drupal.
The connection with the Database is not being done even if it targets the right information.
Has anyone ever happened to you and can you help me with this?
Best regards.
