Proximity Search Kickstart is a quick way to evaluate proximity based search using a Search API and Leaflet based modules stacks. Please see the slides from Drupal Camp Moscow 2014 to get more details about how it look and works.

Getting started

  • Install the profile as usual Drupal installation.
  • Visit admin/config/search/search_api/server/my_server/edit and configure the Search API server it to use a real ApacheSolr server.
  • Generate nodes of Location type (you can use Devel Generate module to generate demo content, for this visit admin/config/development/generate/content).
  • Clear caches and check site home page.

By default Search API index is configured to configure nodes immediately, so home page will display results right after ApacheSolr processes documents.
