Hi guys. I noticed that when updating jQuery Update to 7.x-2.5, it disabled Drupal Core's (7.35 in my case) ability to check for updates. I had to change "Alternate jQuery version for administrative pages" to "Default (provided by Drupal)" for it to work again. Why isn't "Default (provided by Drupal)" the default option?
