Somewhat related to #1524944: Allow different version for administrative pages could we add an option to use the version of jQuery which came with Drupal? Specifically, there are UI issues on the admin side with Views and Better Exposed Filters and who knows what other modules.
If we added the option to just use 1.4.2 for the admin section at least, it would give at least a fallback setting when you need to go to the admin page and do something (short of disabling the module).
